Rules As Fun

Last month, the Long Island Tabletop Gaming Expo was held at the Cradle of Aviation in Garden City, NY. It was a one-day fantasy gaming convention that took place at the Cradle of Aviation on Long Island.

Rules As Fun refers to a way of interpreting the rules of role playing games to maximize fun for the players. Maybe it's not realistic that you'd be able to leap through the air, landing on the one high spot in a room otherwise being flooded with lava, but it'd sure make for a cool story! I wanted to hone in on those loose interpretations, and focus my photographs more on the individuals that were attending the event. By doing this, my hope was to document the individual experience at an event usually photographed to show large crowds of people and an overall scope.

Very pleased to share that this project was featured on It’s Nice That!
